World's Cheapest Car
It happened that I bumped into this yahoo news about the world's cheapest car. As I've researched for it, this Tata's Nano car is the most anticipated ultra cheap vehicle for modern day people and also called "The People's Car". The Tata Nano is a low-cost, rear-engined, four-passenger city car built by the Indian company Tata Motors. Aimed primarily at the Indian domestic market, it is an exemplary example of Gandhian Engineering , a concept involving deep frugality and a willingness to challenge conventional wisdom. Tata Motors is the largest vehicle maker in India. The cheapest because the Tata Nano costs a little more of $2000 USD for the benifit of the Indian families who couldn't afford an automobile.
These photos here are the Nano gas powered version which is named as Nano Europa. This was launched in Geneva Motor Show last year. Tata Nano said that this euro spec will be available in the market by next year, 2011. Changes have made to suit the European customers wherein the base includes a body that is 20 centimeters longer, with better suspension, and antilock brakes. The price of this will be a little bit higher because of the improvements and added features.
But this year's of Geneva Motor Show they displayed the EV (electric vehicle) type of Tata's Nano. India's Tata Nano EV seats four, has a predicted range of about 80 miles and will go from zero to about 35 miles per hour in a blistering 10 seconds. The car has super-polymer lithium-ion batteries, which Tata says provide superior energy retention. It will be available in the market on 2012. Good thing about this electric vehicles, they are environment friendly.
The base model of the Tata Nano available in India has no frills. With a 5-speed automatic transmission, Nano Europa will be powered by 3 cylinder sporty all-aluminum MPFI engine. The Tata Nano Europa continues to be small, but packs surprisingly spacious interiors with a length of 3.29 metres and width of 1.58 metres. Without compromising on maneuverability, its slightly longer wheelbase of 2.28 metres makes it a bit more spacious.

My Zest-Air Horrible Experience
Due to a writing contest from Jezlau Concepts A cool contest before November ends, I was encouraged to write my worst airline experience. I love to travel so, that means i am a constant flyer... I tried almost all the different airlines available here in the Philippines. So far, some of them, I've experienced horrible things... but not like what Zest Air did to me for how many times. I don't hate them because still some of my flights with them were good. Not like what they did to Batang Yagit, read his blog Zest Air. I also experienced that twice wherein they changed my booked flight to another flight schedule due to blah blah blah.... (I forgot their reasons... LOL). They should be thankful because i wasn't in a hurry on those times they re-scheduled me but if I were in Batang Yagit's situation, I will let them send the copy of the recorded call made by their agent in re-scheduling my flight. And, if they will not shown any, they're GUILTY!!! Well, back in my case, I just told the agent to send me a text message for the confirmation of my re-scheduled flight. So, everything went well. For me, everything should be documented as a proof.
But this one thing that made it really horrible was when I booked a flight for my auntie going to Manila from Kalibo.
I wrote an email to their customer service for my concern last July 27 of this year. Just read it and you'll get my point. ;)
To whom it may concern,
I would like to inform you that one of your Customer Relations Service Agent called me at around 3 o’clock in the afternoon yesterday, July 26, confirming me about the ticket that I purchased on the said date. But I told her that it wasn’t successfully been purchased because your system just had this message after I pressed the ENTER key for confirmation of the payment.
Here is it:

More information on this error
Below is the original error message
Error 102 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED): Unknown error.
So, as I’ve read the content stating for “ERROR and connection refused”, I tried to return to your home page and tried to book again, but I can’t because it said “your system was down”. I’ve waited for more two hours for the email if my attempt earlier in booking was successful but I never received any email for the ticket. So, I presumed it was never been booked. This is not my first time in booking for a ticket in your airline online, so, I know exactly what will happen after I pressed the ENTER key for the payment confirmation.
My concern is that your Customer Relations Service Agent told me that the ticket I’ve booked wasn’t been confirmed on the time I booked it because your system was down. So, she called up for the confirmation to remind me that the payment was processed by your system later that day. I’ve attempted to book it around 1 o’clock in the morning of July 26 and I received your Customer Service Agent call at 3 o’clock in the afternoon for the confirmation. I told her I want to CANCEL it because I already booked to another airline due to “ERROR and SYSTEM DOWN” of your website for booking. And you should have informed me first before processing the payment after hours of my booking online. So, she told me to call your hotline/main office but I’m in the province, so, landline calls is not accessible. Then, she told me that she’ll ask your office about my concern and call me back again. But I’ve never heard a call from your office that’s why I decided to write an e-mail for my concern.
I am requesting your good office to please cancel the booking and my payment should be refunded without any penalties.
Here’s the ticket information I’ve got from your e-mail right now, July 27 at 2 o’clock in the morning.

I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible and for faster action of my concern. Thank you. More power!
Respectfully yours,
Grace B. Balderas, RN
Then, I haven't heard of their immediate response so, I asked my sister which is in Manila to call their customer service hotline... My sister told them that I had an email sent for them. I just hate it when it's obvious that I made the booking early in the morning then they will confirm my ticket later in the afternoon. What if, I am in an emergency flight... and online booking is the fastest and convenient way of buying a ticket. So, due to their down system, I booked a ticket with PAL after two hours of waiting for their system to be working again or for my confirmed email.
Well, after 2 days, I received this email from them:
Fw: Fw: Cancellation of Ticket Booking W1XDRX
From:
"Lead Agent"
Add sender to Contacts To:
GRACE_BALDERAS81@YAHOO.COM
Good Day!
On your concern we will charge back 30-60days to your account as a full

kind regards

That's it! Good thing, they did that... I am sooo thankful!!! But, I'm not yet sure if the payment was credited in my card already, I haven't checked it because the refunded amount of the ticket is only 788 PHP. I'm gonna check it online, later... I hope it's there... ;)

Cartoon characters in Facebook
One of my friend in facebook sent me this message a few days ago.
"“Change your Facebook profile picture to a cartoon character from your childhood and invite your friends to do the same. Until Monday, December 6, there should be no human faces on Facebook, but an invasion of memories! This is for a campaign against violence on children.”

After a few minutes, my profile picture was changed into the picture of Care bear, Love-a-lot. Nowadays, I can't seem to see any of these cartoon characters in TV, films and/or as stuffed toys. I just missed them alot and it brings back all my childhood memories with them. They were just adorable and seeing them again by goggling made me craved to look for more of my favorite cartoon characters. And a few hours more, my profile picture changed to Archie and Veronica from Archie Comics. Well, just found out then that Archie chose Veronica over Betty. Well, i'm an avid fan of Archie comics. I've had lots of it before but I just given it away for my younger cousins. This campaign is until Monday, December 6. So, I still have more days to change my profile pictures of all of my fave cartoon characters.I've seen on my facebook newsfeed that many of my friends were thinking what the heck is going-on in Facebook that everybody's changing their profile pic unto a cartoon characters. The objective for this is to spread social awareness against Violence on Children around the world. Cartoon characters were chosen because it could bring back good old memories of our childhood. And for me, it really does.
Let's support the fight against domestic violence on children!
I've inserted this video just a reminder how cruel it could be... Some of us had seen and heard someone on this situation... I know how saddened you were. I hope everyone of us who knew someone who are victims of this crime could report this to the authorities. Let's help the children, live for a better place.

Which Care Bear are you?
![]() | Love-a-Lot Bear You love to take care of others and people love being around you because you make them feel appreciated. You are very sweet and soft-spoken. You are also a romantic and consider yourself an excellent matchmaker, so you tend to be a bit nosy. But everyone still considers you the sweetest person they know. |
