Dr. Tam's Miracle Tea

Wasn't it good when you feel so light and comfortable within your tummy?!  Well, after I had the chance to sit on a seminar by Dr. Tam Mateo, I got the free sip of his popular "Miracle Tea". A day after I had the Miracle Tea,  I felt everything that I am keeping in my intestine for a long time was gone.  I felt light and invigorated!

I first came to Dr. Tam Mateo's seminar about naturopathy last month, October.  It all started about our craze on natural healing, organic foods, and herbal supplements.  My Dad is the 1st one who became an enthusiast about those stuffs because after he suffered from heart attack (MI), he became more cautious of his health.  Then, he always teaches us or imparts to us his knowledge everytime he got a new idea of everything about natural health and etc.

Due to the fact that natural health is our focus in our lives now in my family.  I've researched to look for a naturopathic doctor here in the Philippines.  Then, the search browser led me to Dr.Tam Mateo's website.  The website tackles everything about naural healing.  Here's the link of his website:  http://www.drtam.org/

Every Sunday they held a seminar in their main office in Pasig and every Wednesday in Metrowalk.  We attended their Sunday's seminar.  The place is pretty huge.  At the first floor, there you can find the receiving area, consultation area, offices, and their restaurant "Vegan Haus".  While the seminar is held at the second floor which is a basketball court area.  So, just think of that!  It's pretty huge place.  And, it's great because it's fully air conditioned.

The seminar was an enlightenment to me.  Giving you the great benefits of being a fully-pledge vegan.  Terrorizing your thoughts of how meats are giving huge detrimental effects to our body.  And, having a positive outlook for our lives.

After the seminar, they're giving away a free sample of Miracle tea, i guess it was 30ml, to all who attended the said seminar.  They even had raffles, give gifts to the other attendees and promotional of buy one take one.  I was lucky enough that I had my free sample of Miracle Tea.  They warned us that after 5-8 hours, CR will be badly needed. :)

Miracle Tea
A healthy combination of herbs such as Cinnamon Bark, peppermint, Jamaican sarsaparilla, ginger-rhizome, prunos nigra and many other organic ingredients, MiracleTea helps the body cleanse and detoxify the blood to strengthen your body’s internal organs, and unclog the colon preventing the growth of cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Miracle Tea works by giving you a much needed cleansing from within. By fortifying your internal organs and ridding your system of cancer causing toxins, you increase the chances of prolonging your life. You may also flush away unhealthy build ups in the digestive track. With a revitalized body, your blood is better oxygenated and will remain sturdy for a very long time. The best part of it is that you can grow old without the complications of severely debilitating illnesses.   -

Ma Mon Luk - Quiapo, Manila

Recently, I have been fond of noodle soup specifically Beef Mami since the weather is always raining.  Due to my intolerable satiation of this food, I can't resist my urge to find a chair in Ma Mon Luk Restaurant while passing by in the narrowed alley in Raon, Quiapo.

I'll tackle a lil' bit of their history as what I've researched.  R. Ma Mon Luk came to Philippines in 1918 from Guangzhou, China.  He built the popular restaurant that bears his name, Ma Mon Luk.  He was penniless when he arrived in Manila that's why he ventured a business by peddling a chicken noodle soup.  He became famous in the streets with his mami.  Mostly students from the various universities were his frequent customers.  He then opened his first restaurant in Binondo. At one point, in the mid 1990s, there were at least six Ma Mon Luk restaurants in Metro Manila but as of 2006, only the branches in Quezon Ave. and in Quiapo remain open until now.

These are my orders. (See Photo below)

As you can see from the photo above, I ordered their special siopao, beef mami and coke for my drink.  Their menu can be seen on the wall which also surrounded with many old-faded photos taken from the newspaper that featured them.  Photos with many celebrities, politicians and well-known persons that visited their place.

It's kinda' dark inside with the creaking loud noise of their ceiling fans, old furnitures and flooring,  and very eery ambiance.  It was like I was in the era of early 19th century when the TV are still black&white.  Well, even if the ambiance is not that good, I definitely love to eat there because of their tasteful beef mami and siopao.  And added to that, the service is good.  The old man who tendered my order is very good in his duty as a waiter even though he's lookin' like in his 50's.  I absolutely salute him!

My ratings: (1-10) 1-poor 5-best

Ambiance: 1

Recommendations:
I absolutely recommends it to all who loves mami and siopao.  This is one of the best I've had encountered here Metro Manila.  :)
